Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has cautioned social media trolls against shaming women over their marital or childbearing status, urging them to be mindful of the struggles people may be facing privately.

The actress, in a post shared on IG on Monday, also warned women seeking marriage, children or other personal blessings to be wary of what she described as fake prophecies.

She wrote, “In everything you do in this life, and as a woman seeking the face of God for anything, be it a child, husband, or anything at all, please and please beware of fake prophecy.”

Nkechi also criticised online trolls who routinely remind women that they are getting older, unmarried or childless.

“And to you godforsaken demons called online trolls, take it easy on always reminding a woman she’s getting old and unmarried, childless, etc. You never know the battles they fight behind the scenes,” she said.

The actress urged people to show greater compassion towards women, noting that outsiders may not know the challenges they are privately dealing with.
