Bauchi: APM Receives Over 2,000 Defectors In Ganjuwa

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has recorded a major membership boost in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, following the defection of over 2,000 supporters of the APC, PDP, PRP and other political parties in Miya town.

The decampees formally joined the APM on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Miya Central Mosque, where they were received by the party’s Bauchi State Chairman, Hon. Auwal Isah Mai Takalmin Roba.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Dan’isa Awareness Movement in Ganjuwa, Comr. Al-Amin Umar, described the development as a significant expansion of the APM’s membership base in the area.

He said the defection reflected what he described as growing confidence in the party’s ideology and its political agenda in Bauchi State.

The Founder of Dan’isan Duguri Awareness Movement, Alhaji Adamu Yayaji (Dan Isa), said the decision by the people of Miya to join the APM was voluntary.

Representatives of the defectors said they were attracted to the party by its transformational agenda and its alignment with the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed.

They pledged their support for the APM and said they would work for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Receiving the new members, the APM State Chairman assured them of equal opportunities and integration into the party.

Mai Takalmin Roba also presented a brand-new motorcycle to Comr. Al-Amin Umar in recognition of his mobilisation efforts.

The event ended with prayers for the success of the party and peace and progress in Bauchi State.
