Bala Mohammed, Makinde, Obi Rally Around ‘Reset Nigeria’ Agenda
Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has joined political leaders of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and other stakeholders in Abuja to advance a new leadership agenda for Nigeria anchored on accountability, tact and responsible governance.
Governor Mohammed spoke on Monday at the commissioning of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja, an event attended by prominent political figures, including the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi.
The governor said the gathering reflected a shared determination among the participating leaders to provide Nigerians with a new direction and address the challenges confronting the country.
According to him, his long-standing advocacy for a “Reset Nigeria” represents a broader vision of rebuilding the country through accountable and responsible leadership.
He said, “The gathering was about providing Nigerians with new leadership anchored on tact, accountability and responsible governance.”
Also speaking, Obi said political differences should not prevent leaders from working together in the interest of the country.
He noted that although the political leaders represented different parties, they were united by the need to rescue Nigeria from its current challenges.
The APM presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, said Nigerians deserved better leadership and should be adequately informed and carried along in government policies and decisions.
Makinde also advocated greater access to the country’s natural resources, particularly petroleum products, saying Nigerians should benefit more from the nation’s oil wealth.
He subsequently declared the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Office open.
