The winger received the most votes from fans, beating goalkeeper Dede Dare and defender Damian Chibueze to the award.

Williams played a crucial role in Enyimba’s strong run during the month under review.

The People’s Elephant recorded seven points in September following a troubled start to the season.

Williams received a cash prize of ₦100,000 for emerging as the club’s best player for the month.

Fans will be able to vote for their favourite player when the shortlist for October is released.
